Sketch 4 is live on the Simple Sketches blog today! Go check it out, and see the rest of the design team's interpretations. I have to admit that I love seeing how different people work with the same basic building blocks.
Here's my take on it:
I flipped the sketch on its side because it suited the photos I wanted to use better. I wanted a Fourth of July layout, but not over the top, red white and blue til you go cross-eyed, so I used more subtle shades and non-traditional patterns. A little bit of Heidi Swapp Colorshine in Sweet Cherry gives the white cardstock some interest and makes the scalloped circles, cut on my Silhouette Cameo, a big pop. I finished it off with a glittery, white star border piece and a kraft journal spot.
Thanks for visiting!

Would love to use your sketches for a layout! Hope it's okay, with credit, of course!

Genie this is so cute! You've got both your girls on there and I love those bold chevron stripes!
